Milford Hills Baptist Church began as a mission from First Baptist Church of Salisbury in 1955. It began by holding services in the Salisbury VFW Hall on Brenner Avenue. In 1957 a 10 Acre site was purchased on East Colonial Drive. The first building was dedicated in 1959, and in 1960 the mission was constituted into a church with about 30 families attending. The first service in the new Sanctuary was in December of 1969.
During the years the church has had four full time pastors, and is presently seeking their next pastor. Since October of 2011 Dr. Jim Harris has been serving as Interim Pastor. Of course, through the years the church has gone through changes in the building and the Congregation and is presently growing in number and ministry.
Milford Hills Baptist Church cooperates with the Rowan Southern Baptist Association, the N. C. Baptist State Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Sunday School and Bible Study
I hope you will think back and recall your joyful memories of Sunday School and I hope you will be motivated to share those experiences with your friends and co-workers and you will encourage them to come with you to Sunday School.
We all have
a need for the fellowship and friendship and the Bible study of
Sunday School. Our church will only grow when we reach out to the
lost and unchurched
people around us. Let’s reach out and start growing
today!
Sunday School - 10:00 a.m. Sunday
